Our second week in Florida was spent at a resort in Orlando. It was super fun. It was probably at a quarter capacity because of COVID, which meant all of the pools and activities weren't too crowded, which we loved!
We loved having a great little condo and we were able to cook and have some structure.
Libby is holding the tiniest lizard! Lizards in FL are EVERYWHERE!
The resort had a schedule of different things you could do daily from a movie theater to crafts and activities. We were doing sand art.
The resort had a place called Buccaneer Bay. There were so many fun things to do and hardly anyone there so we could just do the activities over and over again. Ty and I loved the zip line. Libby loved the rock climbing wall.
In the resort there were ponds with turtles everywhere!
Family walk around the resort!
NASA
Kennedy Space Center
NASA was one of the highlights of the trip for me, and for Tate! I just get so inspired by what is accomplished-it's painstakingly slow to get a rocket in the air - YEARS of constant work - and it's FASCINATING.
Tate still tells me he wants to be an astronaut.
The space shuttle Atlantis was particularly inspiring.
We were given tickets to WILD FLORIDA by the Lungrens and it was so cool!!!
This is the splash pad at the resort right by our condo. It was so perfect for the kids. They loved the slide best!
We really enjoyed the pools here, they were often closed though because of the crazy lightning!
