Here’s everything leading up to all of the fun and a bit of the fun too!
Mom and Dad, and Terie and Morgan came into town by Wednesday evening. We spent some time with mom and dad and loved to talk and get advice. Dad also gave Chris a fathers blessing. It is so wonderful that we have the priesthood and a worthy father to administer to us in times of change and steps in our lives. Then Emy and Ben arrived Thursday night and everyone played with the kids for a few hours.
Thursday evening Chris had a bachelor party! Greg, Devin, Brandon, Morgan, Dad, and a few other friends were there. They ate at Red Lobster and Chris had the Ultimate Feast of shrimp, lobster tail, and crab-oh-and let’s not forget the supersized virgin Margarita. They also brought out some lady lobsters from the kitchen to dance.
Leslie and Jason came on Friday morning and the wedding stuff officially began! We had a family prayer and then we were off to the temple!
We went to the temple together in the morning and we checked in and did all the temple business. A few hours later we found ourselves in the sealing room surrounded by loved ones. Chris bawled and I was just so dang excited I couldn’t stop smiling! Chris didn’t want to make eye contact with anyone because he knew I would cry even more. The sealing was wonderful. We are so grateful for the knowlege of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that we can be a forever family!
After the sealing we all went outside for pictures and the weather was insane. Rain, snow, sleet, hail…but we couldn’t stop smiling (or shivering…)
The family luncheon was fantastic-we really enjoyed the good food and the root beer. Then we were off! Well off until the next day-the reception was on Saturday and it was a BLAST! We did have to stand in line for a long time-but we enjoyed all of the well wishes!

Our first two nights we spent in UTAH at the Castle Creek Inn. Sadly-we didn't take any pictures-but our honeymoon suite was a DREAM. Thanks to Deborah-we didn't want for anything. It has been rumored that Deborah took some pictures of it-and we really hope so. We left it at 5 a.m. on Sunday morning to head to the airport to go to Mexico. We decided to take it easy and treat ourselves to a very nice honeymoon-knowing that when we got back, we'd be working hard in work and school and possibly be buying a house that would require money and hard work-so this was our chance to live it up! The weather was PERFECT each day in Mexico! Not a cloud in the sky and not too hot. We enjoyed the buffets-but I did get sick of fried food. It was SO FUN to speak Spanish to everyone. If the waiters knew you spoke Spanish they would just rattle off! They always wondered where we learned our Spanish-it was fun to explain it. I don't think the chefs at the restaurants really knew what a "real" salad consisted of....they had mayo and other random things they called dressing to put on weird stuff-NOT SALAD. We loved sleeping in, eating ice cream, the jetted tub, sunsets from the private terrace, walks on the beach, the Jacuzzi, bartering for Chris's sunglasses, fresh chips and salsa, pina coladas, strawberry margueritas (non-alcoholic of course), staying up late talking, the bidet :) he he he, watching all of the different birds flying around, and speaking Spanish. We loved every minute together! It was hard to leave, but we are so grateful that we were able to go. Here are some pics to highlight the fun!
